No more two but one
God made Adam and Eve and fused them into each other and that was why he said they are no more two but one flesh. Genesis 2:24 this applies to you and your spouse. The deeper the intimacy you share with your spouse the deeper the oneness you both enjoy.
Transparency
One of the sure ways to experience deep intimacy with your spouse is transparency. The scriptures acknowledged that both the man and the wife were naked and not ashamed. Genesis 2:25. This connotes no secrecy. It means they know about each other’s weakness and flaws yet decided to be there for each other.

Physical Intimacy
One of the commands of God to man and his wife when he created them is to go and replenish and fill the earth. Genesis 1:26. One of the ways to fill the earth is through reproduction. This can be achieved in love through sexual intimacy.
Sex is one of the deepest and sacred communications a married couple can ever have. That is why a sexless marriage is as good as dead. At the point of sexual intimacy, both verbal and non verbal communication occurs. The non verbal are the body languages that are being displayed during lovemaking. A very observant spouse can sense when his or her partner is stressed, depressed, unhappy or excited by the body movements.
It is so sad to see today that married couples can’t remember the last time they kissed their spouses except for during love making. This was something they would do anything to get while dating, yet they get so busy after marriage and forget that part of intimacy.
Let me ask you, when last did you kiss your spouse?
See, the only thing that prevented Isaac’s wife from being ‘stolen’ away from him was his show of romance to his wife. This was spotted by the King whose eyes strayed to Isaac’s window while in the act. Genesis 26:6-10
Spiritual Intimacy
Imagine a wife going through a difficult situation somewhere away from home and her husband feels it in his spirit. The husband rises up in prayer, standing in the gap as a cover for his wife. I know of a wife who got delivered from the hands of kidnappers because her husband got stirred up in the spirit and started praying for her safety.
Imagine a man on a journey and his wife at home on her knees decreeing what she wants to happen to her husband for good. I love the way Proverbs 31:12 puts it. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.
The man may chase a thousand but he and his wife gets to chase ten thousand together as a team. That is the power of synergy. When two persons agree on one thing here on earth in the name of Jesus, it will be done for them. Now imagine if these two persons are husband and wife. They will move many mountains together! Hallelujah!
If only couples know the victories they will enjoy when they agree to pray together, in tongues and uttering melodious sounds to The Most High, they will do it often.
